This Friday I am crossing the border. Heading all the way up to the big smoke. Look out Brisbane (and probably Ikea) this country bumpkin will be speaking at the 2019 SourceKids Disability Expo.
So what is this expo all about? Source Kids was created to deliver important information to the carers of children and young individuals with disability. There are almost 850 000 people under 25 in Australia with disability. Surprising, but true! This expo brings all the latest products, technologies, services and information under one roof for two days!
It may be called an expo but it seems more like a festival. There is a performance zone, game zone, speaker zone and of course all the stalls. Kids can drum, take a spin in a wheelchair, do some yoga and much more.
If I am not speaking you will probably find me exploring the sensory area or mastering the games zone. Hope to see you there!
